While a great many people have their Christmas improvements somewhere near the finish of January, with some thinking of it as unfortunate to keep them up past the start of the month, The Queen keeps up hers well into February for an extremely extraordinary reason.

Enhancements at the Royal Sandringham domain in Norfolk are not evacuated until after February 6. This is the place the Queen customarily spends Christmas, joined by close family. Following her marriage to Prince Harry not long ago Meghan Markle spent Christmas day at the bequest out of the blue.

The Queen likes to keep up the adornments at Sandringham into February as a tribute to her late dad, King George VI.

He passed away on February 6, 1952, matured 56, at that point, the present Queen was only 25.

Enhancements at Sandringham are accepted to be significantly more humble than those at The Queen's Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle homes.

Multi-month after his demise The Queen kept in touch with Sir Eric Mievill, her dad's private secretary, communicating her bitterness at his passing.

She remarked: "Everything appears to be so incredible still that my dad is never again here and it is simply after some time has passed one starts to acknowledge the amount he is missed."

Lord George VI went to the position of royalty in December 1936, after his sibling Edward VIII was compelled to surrender the crown amid the renouncement emergency.

Edward VIII relinquished in the wake of proposing to Wallis Simpson, an American separation, in a move which was viewed as incongruent with his job as leader of the Church of England.
